The Primary Level Piano program is a beginner course suitable for children aged 7 ½ to 9 years. A multi-sensory approach is used to develop the whole musician, as in the Junior Program. Classes incorporate keyboard playing, singing, listening and aural activities, reading, movement, percussion and theory. Attention to technique and posture and incorporated from the beginning and students are required to practise regularly in order to progress.
Classes are held weekday afternoons from 4.00pm. Program runs for 45 minutes and operates according to Public School Terms. Student materials are additional and parent class participation is optional. A piano or digital keyboard with a minimum of 66 weighted keys is required at home.
